Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American-British musician and sitarist. She was the first person in her age group to be awarded the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Shakar is a promising young emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar, is Anoushka. She is the student of Ravi Shankar as well as his daughter of Ravi Shankar. She was born 1982 in London. The first few years of her life were split between London and New Delhi. At the age of 13 she performed her debut performance in New Delhi. After moving to Encinitas, CA in 1999 she received a high-school diploma. Anouskha still has a promising music and acting career, even though she's young. Since a while, she performs regularly alongside her father. In 1998, she debuted her first solo album Anourag. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years later than her first solo album. Because she has performed on all the major stages in all over the globe, her career on stage has been extensive. The career of Anoushka goes far beyond music. Bapi: The Love of My Live is her 2002 book, which is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she was a part as a character in Dance Like a Man as a Bharat Natyam artist. Anoushka Shakar's professional career will only continue to grow and develop. We can look at seeing lots of different things that she does. Anoushka is a native of England, but spent most of her growing up between London as well as Delhi. After that, she relocated to California and enrolled in the high school. At the age of 9 she began her studies in music with her father. The first time she performed on the Sitar was during her birthday celebrations for her 75th birthday in Delhi, four years after. Anoushka has gained lots of knowledge by traveling across the globe with the father. She performed at Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. In recognition of being an outstanding musician in the field of Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
