Anna began her professional career in Chicago-area theatres for a couple of years. After that, she switched to TV and film. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big character in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna was on Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In fact, it wasn't until the late 1990s when she was cast in an acting role on The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was the character she played in Breaking Bad. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film as well as Sully.
